If you are a child under the age of 7 at Chizuk Amuno
Congregation in Baltimore
Maryland, chances are you
assume that Alex lives in the Chapel.
He doesn't… But with all of the davening he does there with the Religious School, ECE, weekly Shabbat Family Service
and Torah for Tots, the chapel has become a home away from home.
As the Director of Congregational Education at Chizuk
Amuno Alex has the opportunity to partner with families of all ages as they
celebrate Jewish living in hi community.
Alex directs the Rosenbloom Religious School,
Netivon High School programs and works with
his community to develop congregational and holiday programs for all ages,
especially focusing on Young families, youth, and parents.
Previously Alex served as the Director of Youth Activities
and High School Director at Har Zion Temple
in Pennsylvania
and other educational institutions.
Alex has a BA from Columbia University, a BA from the Jewish Theological
Seminary, a MA in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary and
is working to complete a Doctorate from Gratz College
in Jewish Education.
